I think the ghost would not posess a monk unless he was practicing dark art.

I would have to agree with that statement. I dont think a person following the light or truth of things could ever be possesed unless he let himself be which would be contrary to the light and truth of things.

I agree with both of you. You can only be posessed if you ask for it in one way or another.

I went to a revival one time with a friend. I had no idea what a revival was before I went, but I know I will never go to one again.

Anyway, this girl that was standing next to me literally got posessed. She started screaming "get me the ____ out of here" over and over again. Some guys had to hold her and take her outside because she was going into convulsions. I went outside a few minutes later to see what was happening and this guy was screaming at her, "Get the devil out." The girl was rolling around and sliding herself on the pavement. I'm sure she got really scratched up.

I'm sure she'll never go to a revival again either.

At that revival it seemed like the preachers (who I believe were evil) were trying to get people posessed. They would stand in front of someone and do these chants, saying they were talking in tongues (it was really just jibber jabber). Then they would push on the persons forhead and tell them to lie down. It was incedibly strange.

I don't see how that had anything to do with God.

Fancy where was this revival held?

I've never been to a revival before, but like you said if that is some of the things that go on, I think I'll just stay at home! Shocked

Sounds like a lot of revivals held in the Southern part of the US. Creepy is the operative word, I agree.

As for the original question I think it's as easy to possess a Monk as any other person. Most possessions happen (not that they happen often) because a person is really run down, or really ill or they just aren't "there" (as is in high on drugs or some other mind altering substance). That enables the nasty to slip through the barriers. Or they do stupid things like play with a Ouiga borad without knowing how to protect their space and themselves.

Most Monks (and all holy people for that matter no matter the faith) are very good at protective barriers, though. They spend many hours a day building up a psychic wall by prayer and positive thoughts. So the likelihood of somebody who practises that kind of daily meditation is very small.

But boy, it would not be a good thing, would it? lol

I think it's because there is so much energy there all the time and a sincere belief that there is so much "work" to be done. Many spirits stay on because of this sense of work, or things left to do. So to me it makes sense that's why such places are often times haunted.

I'll second that! Very Happy

Does anybody remember a tv show called "The world's Most Scariest Places" or something like that? It was pretty good, and really made me want to visit the UK and go on a "Ghost Tour".

I don't remember seeing it.

Now that would be an awesome idea, going on a Ghost Hunt Tour.

That may be worth looking into.

There are touring companies who specialise in that sort of thing. I really would love to go on one. Maybe someday when I have money. lol
