In the past, i have encountered a few paranormal experiences, if that is truly what they were. (I still doubt, i can't help it, even though i can't find logical explanations). I have never experienced anything quite like this though where you can interact with a spirit and it responds to you in varying ways.

The thing that has sort of spooked me, more than the ghost(s), is that in other flats, other families have experienced stuff to more or lesser degrees. The flats are in an old manor house, and what i have noticed is that the place has been messed about with structually. We are in the old part of the building. Anyway, we hadnt lived here long, when the first things started happening. A family moved out from the flat above us. They had to be out by 4pm at the latest, the place is temporary housing you see with the council, and so they HAD to be out by 4pm on the dot. After 4pm we could clearly hear the footsteps of a child running around until 5am the next day. We could hear a person tossing and turning in their bed above our heads.

My husband said about it the next day, and i pointed out that cleaners wouldnt be up there through the night til the early hours. We could hear these noises for the next fortnight, day and night. Then one day the cleaners turned up at the vacated flat. We checked with the landlord and nobody had been in and the keys had definately been handed in when they were meant to be. Then there was a lull for a couple of nights after, and then the next night we could hear a girls voice that was very echoey saying "peek-a-boo" moving through our flat and trailing off as it went round the building. it was as if it was everywhere but somewhere else all at the same time, if you know what i mean.

What we noticed, is that whenever we heard peek a boo it was between 2:30am and 3am, every morning. There is a childs playroom that is communal across from our flat, and lots of times when peek a boo is about, she, (i call her a she coz her voice is distinctly female) plays a xylophone that does not exist. she takes it around the building with her sometimes. sometimes she just plays with it in the foyer and playroom. I have had tea and sugar splashed at me from the kitchen area where nobody is standing, on a couple of occasions and my husband has witnessed it. After so long, because she kept us awake all the time, one night i decided to call out peek-a-boo myself, and she came into the room and said peek-a-boo. we couldnt visually 'see' a ghost, but we heard her. then she cleared off round the flats. we hear knocks and bangs day or night, but and i cant help it, we live in an old building at the end of the day and these are flats so it could be other residents. When we first heard peek-a-boo, i thought after a while that maybe the pair of us are imagining it, but bearing in mind this had gone on for a month, i sort of know im not imagining it all; especially as we have made friends with a few of the residents.

One set are now very good friends. We never mentioned peek-a-boo to anyone here because we were afraid people would think we were mental, but this lass suddenly burst out, do you hear things at night. Now there has only really been one time when i have been nervous, and i do not believe it was peek-a-boo in our room, because (we sleep in the front room, that has a open plan kitchen. there is a bathroom and a bedroom but our 2 sons are in there) this thing that we couldnt see was in our arm chair, and laughed horribly, in a rotten way.

Well this lady and her husband just blurted out after we said what do you mean, that they hear horrid stuff, and it bashes about in their flat, paces about and gets in the bed with them, sits on them when they are watching telly in bed or on the settee in the front room. the lady has only heard peek-a-boo one time. They hear more than one voice, and whatever it or they are acts as though they want the family out. the only thing i have noticed is that their flat is in a newer bit of the building.

When, after her experiences we told her of ours, we feel and felt sorry for her because we have nothing like what she has. We have seen a few more things, and we know for a fact that there are at least 2 spirits here, because peekaboo appeared to me, but i could only see her head and shoulders. and when we were on our way up to see our friends with the nasty experiences who lives on the floor above, we my partner and i, saw a trouser leg and shoe of a mans on the stairs. I'm sort of perterbed about it all, because we haven't heard from peek-a-boo in the last couple of weeks, though we have had our blinds shaken furiously when the windows were shut and we have had doors slammed and opened in a fast sharp way. our little boy of two looks at one corner of his ceiling and says i see you which unnerves us both, though we try not to think about it and think maybe hes just picked that up off the telly and is practicing his new words. has anyone else had anything like this?

I have not. Sounds like this place has a all out haunting. You could ask "peek-a-boo" to be quite while you sleep, she may oblige.

Renovations on old buildings is known to bring the spirits out. Most don't want anyone messing with "their" home. You friends can try asking nicely to be left alone. Can't hurt to try. If it keeps up, get a little more forceful in their demands.

Have you spoken with any "old timers" who live/lived in the building? Would love to hear their views on this.

many times, we have asked nicely, forcefully, and i did lmao even though i feel sorry for that family, the woman kicked off big time when it was banging about, which i thought was a bad idea, and it went from bad to worse for them. We have heard rumours, about a couple of weeks ago, because that lady is at the end of her tether with the things happening to her, she said about it to her Mum, who is into crystals thinking she could help. (I neglected to say that the ghost has been physically violent with them, and a couple of times they have fled the building in the early hours and gone to her Mums, especially because she has three young children. I have gone into the main rooms in her flat where stuff happens, and you hear, its hard to describe without sounding mental, it sounds like there is an adult trapped in the walls of her bedroom, running round in the walls and kicking the walls inside the bricks of the walls if you know what i mean??? I am lol coz it sounds crazy.) Any way, her Mum asked some of her neighbours about this place, and we got a couple of things, that this was one of the homes of Richard Trevithick, after hed become acclaimed for his steam engine stuff. He was meant to be horrible to work for as a maid servant. We found out that in the 60's this was, and this perterbs us all, a hostel/refuge for paedophiles run by the council, that at one time it was a convalesing place for the mentally ill, but not extreme cases, and it was an old peoples home in the 80s and 90s, then it became a hostel for homeless people but due to the disrepair was refurbished in late 90s. People have said that two people hanged themselves here when it was a mental place and one when it was an old peoples home. We dont know what to believe because it could be true about the unsavoury history parts of the place or just exaggeration and made up. I have tried to look for the place on the web, and it is like it doesnt exist until it was refurbished, which i find odd, particularly as i found out about this Richard Trevithick bloke and all the dob of his family. ive even done an address search but come up with nothing. The house (coz that is what this place was originally) is in Redruth in Cornwall, and Ive found out that the road we are on dates back to the Medieval times and the plots of houses, there has always been some sort of housing on this road. I sort of feel daft saying this on here, that my partner and i have said out loud when things happen and when it is quiet that we dont mind you sharing this place with us but we wont be your friend if you are nasty, and since then we hear it or them, but nothing major, whereas no matter what the lady upstairs says or does it doesn't make any difference or makes things worse. Because i have lived in a couple other houses that had presences, (dark shadow figures, stuff moving, that sort of thing), and been scared witless by a screaming banshee which i dont think was meant for me coz im still alive, i dont think it frightens me, my oldest boy or my husband as much as that other family, and i sort of am so pleased in one way that it has made itself known whatever it is or they are to the family upstairs coz she was a hardened skeptic she said before coming here. I cant help thinking that peekaboo is really nice and been here a long while and she is happy enough, but i think there is some sort of nasty thing at least, a polterguiest, in that ladies place, and i think it doesnt like that the place has been renovated and where her flat is, is like an extension bit added on to the building to accomodate more flats you see.

p.s. im so sorry i have written what looks like a novel, but i think if i tell you everything rather than quosh it and dilute it completely, which in all honesty, i have left quite a lot out. but i have kept a diary of it all.

Not worried about the "novel" however I would ask that you break it up into paragraphs for easier reading. I did this for you in your first post.

thanks..
