Hi everyone, this is my first post so here goes.
I moved to my current house about ten years ago. I've had quite a few experiences since I came to this property but I'll begin by sharing these with you.
I had only been in the property a few months at this point. I was getting ready for bed one night and my (now ex) partner was in the bathroom. I changed clothes and removed my jewellery which consisted of my watch and a couple of rings and placed them on the table next to the bed. I turned round to climb into bed when I heard a rattling sound coming from the table. As I turned back round I saw my watch and rings moving on the table. I shouted for my partner and we watched dumbstruck for a few seconds and then it stopped. I picked up the jewellery and examined the table. There was no logical explanation for it. There were in fact other items on the table but they didn't move.
Several years later another incident occured while I was alone in the house , relaxing on the sofa in my living room reading a magazine. I was engrossed in an article when I heard a rustling noise coming from the other sofa. I turned my head to look. My young daughter had left a comic lying there and I sat and watched as the pages of the comic turned over one by one as if being lifted up by an unseen hand. It was slow and deliberate not at all like when a draught catches paper. Like the incident before I was able to watch for a few seconds before it stopped. I went over and picked it up and there was nothing amiss and there was no draught.
Has anything like this happened to anyone else? |

Welcome to the forums whirlygirl.
It appears by what you say these were rare occurrences, is this correct?
If so it could be a relative trying to let you know they were there. |

Thank you for the welcome.
Yes that's the only time I've actually seen objects moving but there's loads of other weird stuff that's happened.
I actually went to a psychic after the first incident but before the one with the comic actually happened. I never actually told her what I had experienced. I'd lost a baby years several years before and before I ever moved here. She said that that my baby was now growing up in spirit and had came to visit along with another child, a little girl who was unrelated to me. The baby I lost would have been about 6 at the time of the first incident so I suppose it makes sense. |

A possibility. Just as long as the visit was "nice". |

Welcome to the forum Whirlygirl!
Wow! Jewelery moving and pages of a comic being turned....someone is letting you know that they are around.
When this was happening, did you have a feeling of a presence at all?
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Looking forward to hearing your other experiences. |

Well the first incident occurred 10 years ago not long after I had moved in. The second incident (the comic)happened nearly 6 years ago. I had been to the funeral of a work colleague that morning but I don't get the feeling it was connected to that. The strange thing was I was surprisingly calm as I just sat and watched the pages turn over and then stop.
I'll tell you something else that happened. About 3 or 4 years ago I was sitting on my sofa watching television. It was about 10.30 at night. I heard a noise coming from the window and I looked over. My living room blinds were flapping about like I'd left the window open on a windy night. I went over to take a look, the window was closed and the area around the window was icy cold. I went outside and there was no wind. It wasn't even a cold night. For some reason this time I was absolutely terrified and didn't sleep a wink. I felt as though someone or something was there this time and I hadn't felt that before. |

The cold is a "dead" giveaway... Since it doesn't happen often, could be someone just visiting. |

There's actually been a lot of other things that I've experienced and I'll tell you about more of those later. I've done a lot of thinking and I've realised that ever since I was a small child I've had what you could call a sixth sense.
When I was a very young child in our old house (we moved when I was four) I refused to sleep in my bedroom alone. I would wake during the night every night and my parents would have to settle me again. I always used to feel as if I was being watched. I never liked spending time in that room, I told my parents that the room was scary and I always used to play in the living room. It wasn't until about a year ago that I found out that when my granny died 3 years before I was born my parents had her resting in the house before the funeral and you can guess by now which room they used. MY BEDROOM. I was never told this for years but when I found out about it it all made sense.
At about the same time that we moved house my uncle died. I was only four at the time, I don't actually remember much about him and I wasn't told any of the details just that he had died. When we visited my aunts house I used to play in one of her spare bedrooms but I always avoided going into her room alone. As the years went by I used to avoid going upstairs at all. Yet again I had the feeling of being watched. I found out years later that he had died suddenly in his bed even though I had it in my head that he had died in hospital.
I don't remember cold spots or anything like that it was just a feeling that something was there. |

It sure does sound as if your Gran and Uncle may have been trying to contact you.
Unfortunate you were so young as not to fully understand what was going on. |

It could be that the relative was just visiting you. Children are more open to spirit contact than adults so it is possible this is why you were visited so much. How do you feel about these things today? |

Not long after the birth of my daughter we were at my ex partners house. I was upstairs sitting on the bed with the baby and my ex partner was downstairs in the kitchen. I looked up towards the door and I got the distinct feeling I was being watched to the point it was a bit uncomfortable. This feeling lasted about half a minute and then went away. My ex then came back upstairs and told me that while he was in the kitchen he felt as if someone was in there with him but there was no one else in the house but us. I told him what happened to me and he said he got the feeling it was his grandad.
His grandfather had passed away when I was only a couple of months pregnant and I had never met him. His mother went to a psychic who told her that her late father had indeed paid a visit to the house to see the baby. She was gobsmacked as she hadn't mentioned anything about what had happened. |
