For a while now I have suspected that we've had a ghost in our flat (apartment), particularly in the bathroom and the hallway leading up to the bathroom. My little girl often appears to talk to someone whilst she is in the bath or shower. Last week I asked her if she was talking to someone and she said "say no" as if she'd just been told to say no by someone.

She tells me there is a man and has made the following comments about him:
1) He looks like Mr Bump from the Mr Men (Possibly meaning he had a bandage around his head?)
2) He's in a racing boat
3) He's in a tunnel
She also looked at a picture of my friend Josh who committed suicide a few years back. In the picture Josh is smiling, but her first comment was, "Josh sad!". When I tried to convince her that he was happy because he was smiling in the picture, she got quite cross with me and said, "NO! Josh sad! Josh was very into sailing and had a business sailing clients around Majorca, so I wonder if it could be him?

The other possibility is that it could be a man who was killed by one of my neighbours on a booze cruise, but I think that's possibly a bit of a tenuous link.

Can anyone give me any pointers how i can find out more info on this?

Thanks

Sam

Welcome to the forums Sammy.

I would try to get the child to tell you this persons name. If it is Josh, and it sounds like it might be, maybe you can get your daughter to have "josh" tell her something only you and Josh knew about.

Children have that ability to see things we cant!
my 19 month old son used to say strange names like dean and sarah.

try taking some photo's of the area's where your child is saying these names.
and add them to site.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I asked her the man's name the other day and she said it was Bob so not sure who or what that relates to? I will try the photo thing though, thank you.

The other day we went to a pub called Shaw Farm. We didn't tell her the pub name and my daughter and I waited in the car whilst my husband went in to find out if they have a table free for dinner. he came back and said that they didn't have any tables free so we started to drive away from the pub. At that point she started crying saying that she wanted to see the animals - there were no animals there! When we got home, I googled the pub and found out that it was a working farm in the 17th century!

Sam, if you don't mind me asking, how old is your daughter?

She's 2 and a half. Very forward for her age in terms of speaking, but not yet at the stage where her imagination will have developed that well which is why I'm fairly certain she is seeing someone or something.

Forgot to mention about another incident - we were staying at a friends house and were alone in the bedroom we were staying in, she suddenly pointed at the wall and said, "look, he's got Daddy's glasses on!" - not sure who or what she was talking about, but she laughed when i asked her who had Daddy's glasses on and just pointed towards the wall!

children can be very succeptable to spirit sammy and i believe you are treating this situation just fine.
its good that you can ask her questions without freaking out or causing a scene, the more natural you make this for her, the easier she will feel about telling you in the best way she can whats going on.

hats off to you hun xxx
