My first Paranormal Experience that I recall clearly was aged 11. I was on a residential trip with the school in Dorset the centre was based in the new forest near an old Celtic fort. On the second night we were treated to a walk down “spooky Alley” which basically was a walk through the woods at midnight by torchlight. Me and two of my friends were fumbling along somewhere near the front of the line when suddenly all of our torches went out I gazed over to the right of the path and in the woods I saw a man stood just seemingly watching. He was elderly looking with a long beard and wearing long white robes. Even stranger was the fact he was colourless as if he had stepped out of a black and white TV screen. I was so shocked I screamed and ran at which point my torch started working again and the figure had vanished. The teachers tried to fob me off by saying one of them was stood in the woods making sure we didn’t stray off the path but im 100% sure what I saw that image will be etched in my memory for ever. |

No they didn't i had two friends walking directly beside me plus obviously the rest of the group scattered about and no one else saw anything. I have actually thought of going back a couple of times however as it was dark and i have only been there the once pinpointing the area and spot would be extremely difficult. It does intrigue me though as ive gotten older i have found myself making the connections i never did as a child, wondering if he was a druid or celtic spirit of some sort what with the celtic fort nearby and delving into a bit of history in the area i also discovered that a druid sect also practiced there at some point. the long white robes and beard also points towards that theory so it could be possible. It was a small place called Oxenwood in dorset..i wonder if any folks have heard of it or any sightings connected to the place?? |
