Hi Chandru, depends how much you and your friends want it to work. If anyone intending to do this is easily scared or of a nervous disposition I'd tell them not to take part. IMO Ouija Boards don't contact the dead - at best they tap into your own subconsciousness or someone simply cheats.

Some users believe that paranormal or supernatural forces are at work in spelling out Ouija board answers. Sceptics, like myself, believe that those using the board either consciously or unconsciously moves the pointer or glass to what is selected. To prove this, simply try it blindfolded some time Have an unbiased bystander take notes on what words or letters are selected. Usually, the results will be unintelligible.

I've done the board many times when I was younger. Some of my friends got seriously affected by their own imaginations. If you take it all as a bit of self generated fun then go ahead but please realise that anything you get is probably not a dead spirit.

Hi Bitter,

Why do you think a Ouija board would open any doors to the spirit world or worse?. It's no more deadly than a Monopoly Board.

You're 'talking' to whoever has their fingers on the glass.

I have heard a lot of Urban myhts- " A Friend of a Friend says that... " or the typical " A mate of mine asked a priest, and the preist said burn it.." etc.

But no, it's all nonsense. If the spirits really can move a glass, then:

A. Why do people need to touch it?
B. Why can't they move anything else?

Even the idea that the "subconscious" moves the glass is debateable- I think it's all down to people simply cheating.

Hi there all,
Sorry to pull up an old post like this one here but has any one noticed that Chandru009 has vanished?
From this thread it looks like he dissapeared last september.

I would try a weigy board but not on my own and not in a graveyard or exotic location.

Hi Scott.
What do you mean by an exotic location?
And why wouldn't you do the board there?
