I had a dream last night, it was a good dream. In my head, I knew it wasn't true. I don't know if this is part of the dream but i remember telling myself to wake up to avoid the disappointment of realising it was only a dream.
Only problem is, I don't know if I woke up or simply went on to a different dream.
Can anyone give any advice on this?

Hi julie2009. There have been one or two nights [and these don't happen often], where I've not been able to tell whether I've woken up during them, or not. Because I've apparently got out of bed, and gone round the house doing things. Yet, it seems, my body has not actually moved, and I'm still asleep! Are they dreams, or Out of Body Experiences? Shocked

When I get nightmares, I forcibly wakeup before getting in to any danger. I sit for a while and make a way out and then get back to sleep continuing the dream with a positive ending.

I have tried that once or twice but I will always go
back to the same scenario I started with. Sad

I rarely get bad dreams. If I do, it's usually a sign that I'm unwell. Sad That and the fact the dream will be in monochrome or muted tones. Most of the time my dreams are in 'technicolour', sometimes with sound. When I have a recurring dream, there's often a timelapse between the occurances. I know this as I keep a detailed journal. Idea I take dreams like these to be my subconscious 'trying to send me a message'. Trouble is, I usually only find out what that is in hindsight!

Theyre probably just dreams - the ones where you realise you are dreaming are called lucid dreams - people who believe in astral projection and OBEs etc... believe lucid dreams are a way to achieve this.

Wow this is a good info. I always see all the colors and feel the dreams. I feel the joy, pain, everything. Is this just a lucid dream or astral projection?
