Hi there all,
Cliffraves, was you inspired to get into stargazing from stargazing live?
That was a good program so if you want some tips then that is a good place to start, proboly it's somewhere on you tube.
It's not that difficult either to identify stars or find your bearings for navigating. We can all enjoy the sky quite easilly.
Identify Polaris and you are away.
If you have a large telescope then the moon is the best thing to veiw(obviously) and the details are out of this world, literally.
Good luck and keep you're eyes open for UFO's. |

Got into stargazing from watching that Stargazing live indeed it was that Professor Brian Cox just liked way he was smiling all time inspired me to look at stars made it quite interesting
also with all story's of ufo sightings around world i think i observe the sky's got telescope for christmas 2010 it's made me get into a new hobby.
I installed stellarium pc software to learn about names of star's/nebulas so on that can be seen eye view Quite interesting. |

Hi Cliff!!
Good to see your still around!
My cousin has a telescope he brings out when we are all together
at his house for dinner.
Since our skies are always clear we see quite a bit.
I saw Saturn a few times....quite cool!
Hope you keep in touch. |

Great stuff.
Brian Cox does make it sound fun.
sounds like good software you got there.
I'm an old fashoned ,map man myself.
Well theres plenty to be seen so enjoy it, oh and by the way there is a stella nusery on orions sword where there is super massive stars forming in a nebula so that may well be worth a zoom in.
If you find a star odd check your maps and see if its supposed to be there to be there. |
