C'mon then folks, list any good ones that you know of.

I don't tend to read modern books on ghosts becuase it has all been said before. You can dig books up published between 1920-1950 and they explain more than some of these modern books. Any classics that you can tell me?

What do you mean by 'they explain more'?

I would say books on ghosts fall into one of three categories:
  • Works of fiction.
  • Compilations of sightings and experiences, covering a specific country, region or town.
  • Attempts to explain the cause of the phenomenon.
Works in the first two categories are innumerable, and for those in print there should be reviews available online.
I have no experience of anything in the last category, but I'm sure anything worth reading would have become world famous.

Scientific Paranormal Investigation by Benjamin Radford is THE essential book for anyone interested in the subject. Everything else falls way short.

Sometimes I just like to read tales and stories, no scientific explanations or theories, just a good tale.

Because it can't prove disapproval. Your answer is shallow and inputs no effort and yet you request that others show proof to you. Even main stream science admits it is in its infancy, what you see isn't always what is there and what what is there ain't always what it would seem. Closed minded blind chatter is worse than any metaphysical inquiry.Metaphysics is the science of tomoro, the world is not flat DB. But you will have heard this all before and will have stuffed it in your mental bag. Blind scientific belief is worst than religion, it stops you thinking beyond your potential.

It's not clear to whom your reply is directed, but could you explain the meaning of the above sentence, Iain?
