An energy injection!! Funny!!

Cactus, my husband and I are thinking about visiting
Ireland this October/November.
I know the weather may be a problem but that's
when he has his holiday.

Any suggestions?

Hi bitterbuck - the weather is nearly always brutal here - as I am saying this there is a storm outside lol

Tbh I am not a sight-seer but you will probably be flying into dublin so you could look around the sights there, in Northern Ireland you have the Giants Causeway - appently one the wonders of the world - if I think of any others I'll let you know Wink

Save yourself a flight and check it out on Youtube

My take on Ireland has always been that it has two purposes:

  • It's where Irish people live.

  • It's where expatriate Irish take their kids on holday when:

      a) The grandparents want to see the grandkids

      b) They haven't managed to tarmac enough driveways to be able to afford Spain that year.

Still I'm sure they're a welcoming lot - they must be to make all those commercials begging people to go there.

lol
We're both looking forward to some weather as here in AZ we
don't see much of it. Very Happy
We've decided to take a bus tour...flying into Galway and seeing the sites to
Dublin.

This way we can let someone else do the driving and we can drink and
relax. We'll have to check out Northern Ireland next trip.

Well, I'm sure we are going to enjoy our holiday!
To see green will be a welcome site indeed. Laughing

bitterbuck1, sounds good Very Happy

I'm sure you will enjoy it, and one thing you will notice is that the people are generally friendly and welcoming - Galway is a nice spot - there is a little holiday town nearby called Salthill you should check out that I have been to a few times for breaks. Another spot you might want to visit is Knock where apparently the Virgin Mary appeared Very Happy

Love to see Knock. Did she appear before children?
Seems she appears to them more often than not.
I've been to Medjugorje twice. The Blessed Mother
is still appearing to those children (who of course are now
adults) Very Happy

Where is it that you live?
Maybe we can meet up for a beer or two?
Or better yet visit a haunted location? Shocked

bitterbuck1, I've been to Knock a few times but I can't remember exactly who she appeared to - are you religious yourself?

I live in Newry, Northern Ireland - it is basically like a different country than the south and it is mainly protestant - we talk different, go on different, different currency etc but if you are up this way sure we could meet

I'm Catholic if that is what you mean. Very Happy

I didn't realize that the North was so different. Bob (hubby) would
rather rent a vehicle and go on our merry way. See what we want
to see and such. So, if we do that, I know we will travel up North.
