Most definitely. I must say it helped having a guide there too Very Happy

Several places I'd want to investigate further.

1)The door leading into the west gatehouse. Unfortunately the area beyond isn't open to the public, but the door has a real sense of purpose to it.

2) Around the base of the leaning SE Tower.

I took a couple of shots of this area, as when walking along the South dam (where the posted shot was taken from) I thought I caught a glimpse of a flash there. Could be nothing, but it's always best to double check.

3) The East Gatehouse out towards the outer moat.

While I was walking out of the castle, I stopped in my tracks. Sounds mad, but I could've sworn I saw a mist pass in front of me. Again, could be nothing, but worth a look.

4) West Island, and the Roman fort beyond

Apparently there are sightings on these areas

5) foot of the SW tower. Not a definite haunt, but a real feeling of a presence, well to me anyway.

Have to say though, it's a fabulous castle, and at £3.70 to get in an absolute bargain! You don't fully appreciate how massive the place is until you're there.

Should get my 35mm ones back Thursday :)

That second shot, I remember the clouds well, but that they were going bottom left of shot to top right (heading over our right shoulder) don't remember the whisps going at a right angle to them top left to bottom right. Was that a lens flare effect caused by the light, or something else?

I took a near identical shot, so we'll see if it's on mine too.

Thos whisps actually I am not to sure, cos the top left the cloud seems to cover the tower, When I edited it I tried to darken the edges of picture to take that emphasis off. But as you say, wait til we see your pics

The whisps are caused by glare off the camera lens..
