I have a number of reoccurring dreams and I've had them all of my life. I don't have them every night but now and again along they come and they are all very vivid and life like.

This is the strangest...and the one that I remember as being the earliest...

In the dream I'm a young boy and I'm alone at the sea side. I look down onto the beach and there is a single flower growing there. I walk down onto the beach and I crouch down to look at the flower. I then look up and out to sea where I see a huge ocean liner, something out of the past like the Titanic, that sort of thing. This dream is absolutely terrifying and I have no idea why or what it can possibly mean. The dream is accompanied by a feeling which I will try and describe...it's a feeling that is only associated with this dream. I feel as if I can't breath or that there is no air, I feel that there is something terribly wrong with my body and that it isn't mine and I don't belong in it, it is not my true form. I feel that my tongue is swelling and filling my mouth and that something very strange is happening to me, something is being done and I am changing into something else but I don't know what.

The next one...

In this dream I am an adult. There is a sudden unexpected war or conflict of some sort and the population emerge from their homes to watch the action which is large scale and at least partially directly overhead. The air is filled with the contrails of missiles and aircraft. Every now and again one is shot down and crashes. Although there are conventional aircraft involved, and they are "ours," the enemies craft are a multitude of different shapes and sizes with some displaying strange lights. They are UFO like in appearance although there is no feeling in the dream that they are alien.

It's a troubling dream but I can't say that it is actually frightening.

The next dream is perhaps in some respects the most interesting.

In the dream I am aware that from my point of view it is the future. Everything is fine and the country is doing very well (so I assume it's in the very distant future, haha.) There is a lot of development and new building going on and it's all very real looking and possible, there are no flying cars or glass domes or anything else futuristic, just large and apparently very lavish and expensive development. Unfortunately in the dream I'm a stick in the mud and despite being offered my choice of wonderful new homes I'm staying put and holding things up. Also I'm aware that while all this new development looks wonderful my home town is still lagging behind the rest of the country. Some things never change Confused

In this dream the overwhelming feeling is that of annoyance. I'm annoyed that people think that they know what's best and want me to move into this lovely, and free, new home.

This dream is interesting as it borders on one the other strange things that happen to me from time to time. I've had many instances of precognition throughout my life and over time I started to write them down. Most of the flashes of the future, if that is what they are, that I get are very mundane to the point that I wonder why on earth I'd be either shown them or experience them. They are very detailed and apparently accurate and usually the events happen at the most a year after I glimpse them. I'll give examples later if anyone is interested.

So, once I'd started to log things I wrote this one down and eventually...notification came through the door of a planned development that seems to be in the same location as my dream development. The development never happened, times are hard, but I wonder if at some point in the future the plans will be resurrected and built on a grander and more lavish scale. This dream is vivid as the apparent flashes of the future that I get are but the time scales are different, the mundane things happen quite quickly but this dream is something that I've had all of my life.

Perhaps the notification of an apparently matching development was just a coincidence or maybe I just eat too much cheese Embarassed Laughing

this bit is you not wanting to change how your life is now.
id say from reading some of your other posts that you have the classic abduction going on. how do you feel about that?
pm if you wish, you wont be ridiculed.

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to read my post and reply.

These reoccurring dreams are very vivid and I've had them as long as I can remember. Of the three the future development dream seems to me to be the easiest to explain, as an expression of anxiety, and obviously I have considered this. I included it here as an oddity because of it's vividness, repetition over many years and because it may just stand a chance of coming true at some point if the postponed development goes ahead on a grander scale at some point within my lifetime.

As an engineer the thought that time may not be linear and that somehow at some times we can glimpse the future is quite strange to me but there is much anecdotal evidence that it can happen. Even I myself have had many instances of what could be glimpses of the future even if they are admittedly of seemingly unimportant and mundane things, and no, I can't tell you what next weeks lottery numbers will be. I know that these are not instanced of deja vou, or evidence of epilepsy or schizophrenia as I wrote them down. They could of course simply be coincidences.

The sky battle is interesting but I can't honesty say that I've ever consciously worried about air warfare so I can't imagine why I'd have that dream. The boy / flower / boat dream is most odd and I have no rational explanation for it, why it should be terrifying or why it should be accompanied by a feeling that there is something so wrong and so strange happening.

I've never linked these things to alien abduction.

I've had strange experiences of one sort or another since I was very young, before I was three. I'll post some other things and I'll be interested to hear if other people have experienced similar things or can provide any insight.
