Visual presence in my room

Ok so there's been a few things happen to me and my parents where I live. My mum won't talk about it so I can't be more specific about the dates other than what I can remember. All I know is this stuff happened from when I was about 7 till I was about 13.

So here goes!

When I was in primary 4 at school I caught the measles and was off school for a few months. At the time I lived in the house with my mum, dad and my gran. At some point during the months I was sick my mum put me to bed upstairs in my room and tucked me in to bed. She was heading back downstairs and passed my dad on the top landing. My dad came in to my room and I was lying on top of my covers with the bed made underneith me. I was asleep and there must have only been about a 5 second gap in between when my mum left the room and my dad entered. Not nearly enough time it would take to make my bed, plus I was 6 or 7 and had it's not really in a 6 or 7 year olds nature to make the bed really, is it? Anyway, from what i've been told about it, which isn't much, I was burning up when my dad came in to see me. What freaks me out is that whatever made the bed would have had to of lifted me out of it first.

With that out the way i'll move on to the next one!

At some point before or after that had happened I was up stairs in bed and my dad was downstairs in the kitchen washing the dishes, my mum was in the front room watching the television. My dad heard someone upstairs shout down "is this wean ok?", for those who don't know, wean is Scottish slang for child/kid etc.. Anyway, he shouted back saying something then realised something wasn't right, he went in to the front room and sure enough my mum hadn't asked anything and she hadn't heard anything either.

There's loads of other small stuff that's happened from footsteps, breathing and hearing people talking in other rooms when theres no one in the house but what I really want to get off my chest i'll talk about next. I've told my mum and dad about it, my mum doesn't believe me or she just finds it hard to speak about and my dad hasn't said anything about it. This happened when I was in 1st year at high school, I was about 13. I should also mention that my gran who lived with us when I was younger had died between 2-6 months prior to this, I really can't remember exactly when it happened.

So i'm asleep in bed, not sure what time I woke up / was woken up at but it was getting light outside and my curtains were closed so I could see in my room but it was taking a bit of eye adjustment to be able to make anything out. Anyway, I woke up and something next to me immediately next to my bed. To tell this right i'll add that my bed had a desk under it so lying down on it, you would be lying at body height with someone standing next to it, it was against my wall with me lying on my side looking out on to my room. So i'm awake and see something in the open in my room, I lean out and stare at it for about 5 seconds and it literally formed in front of me, I am 100% possitive it was my gran. From the light coming in the window I could make out her hair and her glasses. I was looking directly at her face but couldn't see it, she was the right height to be standing up and it was moving slightly. I stared at it until I realised what I was looking at, then went under my covers for about an hour, peeked out and it was gone. I got up as quick as I could and ran to wake my mum up. She didn't believe me and told me I had been dreaming.

Hi Spooked,

You will find there are quite a few people on this forum who have had the same or near same
experiences you have just mentioned.
So you have plenty of company here!

I'm sure you did see your Gran, I bet she was just making sure you were alright.

I would enjoy hearing more of your experiences.

seems to me it may have been someone watching over you hun and who better than your gran.
if it has been going on all this time and did indeed shout down the stairs out of concern for you and has been hanging around you at bed time, i think id find some comfort in that.

mind you i can relate to how scary it might be to a child to see and experience things, it must have been very frustrating for you that your parents didnt even humour your word let alone show disbelief at every turn.

that may seem a little unfair to your parents and i dont mean any disrespect, i am speaking as a mother who went through a similar thing with my children and treat it quite differently is all xxx
