My current place of work is an old mill in radcliffe, manchester. Forgive me for being vague. We have had a medium(?) and her daughter walk around the place one night and i will post the report as soon as i can get it emailed to my address(its quite long).

This actually happened approx 4 year ago about 12 month after i started working for them. I was covering the night shift for a colleague and when all was quiet we used to return to the yard. The usual acces was blocked by a roller shutter as some one had lost the key so we had to go through the workshop, through the body shop, into stores and into reception, all in the dark. I was joined by a colleague, terry, and at approx 4 am while we was watching tv, we both looked round(at the same time, without prompting) to the security monitor and spotted a chap walking across the yard in full high visibility clothing(we carry out alot of work on motorways), walking across the yard to the shuttered door. we rolled through the different cameras in the yard and seen him walk from one area to another.
Theres many rumours about this mill which we were both aware of and decided to arm ourselves with a brush and shovel and jump in our vehicles and camp out. As predictable as it may seem, we exited into the yard and there was no one to be seen.

The company was set up by the grand father of the current owner who did the same job we do now so presumably that is why he was in full safety gear.

Were both pretty sure it was frank checking on his yard and trucks that night, he was also known to be a practical joker.

It could have been a man in high viz clothing who you couldn't find when you went out to look. Was the footage recorded and did you get it checked out?. Was there a possibility it could have been a real person?.

We didnt get the footage checked which was a shame.

There is the possibility of a real person, although unlikely, the gate weighs around the 1 tonne mark and is difficult to open and close, and was closed behind us and still closed when we left, it is the only way in as the 7ft fence is surrounded by brambles, trees and barbed wire. No other drivers or vehicles were due back at that time and if it was a member of staff, we would of been called prior to there arrival, no vehicles were to be collected and no trucks had moved or arrived.

Certainly interesting, we had another experience involving the vehicles, we run about 30 of varying ages all equiped with beacons and light bars and its reported that on one occasion the majority of the vehicles in the yard had there beacons running, all started at the same time ( would need at least as many people as vehicles) for around 2 monutes then all stopped. Although im a little sceptical about this.
