Hello

can anyone tell me.. if it is worth buying laser beam detectors ? They are just for my house as i have spirits here regularly and contact them via the glass.. Do any of you use them and what are the results ? are they any good.. will they detect any spirit or does the spirit have to want to break the beam..

Also full spectrum cameras.. Do these really work ? do any of you use them ? Again what are the results.Does the spirit have to want to be seen for it to work ? is it worth buying one ?

thank you in advance all..

Hi acsjase,

You first need to be sure that you actually have spirits. Try using 'the glass' but getting everyone to wear a blindfold or have the letters upside down with random numbers face up and see what kind of messages you get. If you get meaningless gobbledegook then you know that the glass moving is either:

1. The ideomotor effect
2. Someone deliberately moving it
3. Someone subconsciously moving it

The beams and cameras probably won't detect spirits but they will detect a drop in your bank balance.

Lol
THANX for advice and warning on my bank balance.. I never really thought about the blindfold thing.. Only myself and my wife do it so we trust eachother 120% but i shall certainly try that.. I am confident we do have spirits as we find things moved , different smells , find certain things that were related to them , noises and sounds. automatic writing and k2 hits. but i appreciate your opinion. :)

Hello again acejase (sorry for spelling it wrong last post),

It'd be helpfu if you could post specifics about the things moving, the smells etc so that I and probably other members can get a fuller picture of the activity you're experiencing.
The more details you can post the better. I'd certainly reply with my thoughts.

No problem DB

Things that move are - a chelsea towel that was in washing pile was found folded on bed , toilet paper has been pulled like the andrex puppy ad , curtains have been drawn , my little girls toys have been moved from one side of room to other , we have found whiskers from our cat that has been gone a year now..

Noises we hear - a baby crying , whispers , groans , voices , taps , bangs..

Smells we have smelt - sweet chocolate upstairs and downstairs , cheesey feet , old people , hospital smells , curry and spices etc , apples and fruity smells..

Only myself and my wife live here so we know it aint us..noone else visits the house.. These things we have had confirmed via the glass and have clips of orbs , noises , lights.. we contact a total of 14 spirits ranging from my mum to people that lived here in this building in the past..SO knowing its real is not an issue.. Just wanna know if its worth spending the money to improve our experiences.. thank you again

Would this laser beam detector work with spirits?

Wouldn't a video camera set up work better so as
you can see the items being moved?

Just a thought.

Thanks for the reply bud Smile

What properties are nearby ace? by nearby I mean within a mile radius - eg are there takeaways, industrial units, other houses? or do you live in a relatively isolated location?.

They just dont seem to like appearing lol

Thank you for reply again DB.. We are in the country in a quiet town.. a takeaway , co op lol is 10 mins away but thats all any other main shop is 25 mins away..No industrial units nearer that 30 mins drive.. Houses in front and at sides.. but its a quiet road..

Hi acejase,

Thanks for the reply. OK, here's what may be causing the smells etc. This is not in order and I'm offering it as an alternative not a definitive explanation.

If you have properties (which are residential) to the front and sides then sounds will carry for the same reason that smells will.
This will only happen when certain conditions are in place and the two are not mutually exclusive.
For example in Edinburgh there is a brewery. On certain days (and nights) the smell of the Brewery (a kind of ham and mustard smell) will carry for miles. In another town where I grew up in the 60's and 70's there was a Crematorium about 8 miles away and on certain days we could smell it (this was in the days before emissions were highly regulated).
Sounds can also carry for miles - given the right weather conditions, more so at night and there are circumstances where sounds can reflect off low lying dense cloud or thick fog.
There will be a subjective element to these sounds and smells. What could be a Hospital smell to you could be the smell of cut grass to someone else. We each interpret visual and auditory phenomena (especially when it's indistinct) in different ways - one mans shadow is another mans ghostly monk. How and why we interpret them differently is due to a number of cultural and psychological factors which are way outside the scope of this short reply.

Groans, taps and bangs could be down to the house settling. This could be anything from the expansion and contraction of wood and metal (especially when they are adjacent to each other) due to temperature and humidity fluctuations through to central heating and plumbing noises. Brick and stonework can also be responsible, more so if one side of the house has been subject to sunshine and the other has not.
There is also the possibility of rodents to consider, particularly mice and birds which can easily make their way into loft and wall cavities where relatively minor sounds can be amplified.
Whispers, voices, crying etc are often quoted as evidence of a haunted house. Aa mentioned, these could be carried or be down to animal noises - foxes can make some very odd unsettling noises as can badgers and other smaller garden rodents.
Strange voices can on rare occasions be heard when there is no radio or TV turned on. Lead strips or other bands of metal can act as antennae, picking up broadcasts - even tooth fillings have been cited as mistaken examples of 'voices in the head'.
This will occur only when there is a specific relationship between the length of the metal and the broadcast frequency allowing resonance in the metallic strip.

The toilet paper unfolding could be down to your daughter (I'm not sure what age she is), the towel, toys, curtains etc could also be purely human in origin and down to forgetfulness, stress or just plain absentmindedness. Finding cats whiskers long after the cat has gone isn't unusual. I was forever finding dog hairs from my two dogs long after they'd gone to chase postmen in the sky and I'm a cleanliness saddo with two Dysons (three at one point) to my name.

Orbs, the glass etc - I'm not a believer in either unfortunately. Orbs have long been demonstrated to be dust, moisture and insects and the Ouija can easily be discounted as a tool for spirit communication when the sitters are properly blindfolded.

From your posts it seems you're pretty sure that you've got a multitude of spirits in your home so you will be susceptible to Confirmation bias:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias
this is going to colour your perception of the experiences you've described and make you more likely to give them a supernatural rather than a natural explanation - I'm not saying that you've not, just that there are usually more mundane explanations that are sometimes not immediately apparent.

A lot of things can set off beam barriers so don't bother with them. As for the camera thing, I wouldn't bother with that either...another equipment fad. If you want to get any kind of results, set up an infrared sony handycam and introduce an ultraviolet black light. This will cross reference the light spectrum and the ultraviolet actualy illuminates the dust in the air! Turn off the main light in the room and do as D B Sweeny said with the board. Also introduce a good digital dictaphone and ask some questions. You never know. But also attempt to remove the belief structure..I know you have one. If you do these things believing you have entitys within your home, you are introducing the chance of parapsychological polution. Yes it is believed that you can produce phenomena yourself. and thats a whole different ball game! But most of all research..and read. Good luck, I hope this was of help.
