I've been lucid dreaming since I was abt 5 yrs old....in alotta these dreams, I feel like its an "out of body" experience because I am completely awake and sometimes wake up in my own bed knowing that I had been trying to fall asleep...for some reason, my soul is always drawn out the window..and goes up into space where there is a huge bright light..the closer I get, the more I get a feeling of ecstacy and luv...sometimes I do astral travel too and can communicate telepathically w deceased family members..I can feel their thoughts and soul....I know this sounds weird & I never talk abt it w anyone cuz ppl usually scoff it off cuz they've never had it...is it possible my soul really does travel sometimes??

No. You're just lucid dreaming.

An interesting post, Chandru009. And I know what you mean. I've kept quiet over the years about certain experiences of mine, because I know how quick people can be to ridicule or be very judgemental about them. Especially people who don't know you.
There have been one or two nights [and these don't happen often], where I've not been able to tell whether I've woken up during them, or not. Because I've apparently got out of bed, and gone round the house doing things. Yet, it seems, my body has not actually moved, and I'm still asleep! Are they 'lucid dreams', or 'Out of Body Experiences'? I would like to know.
Yet there is another possibility. My late Mum told me of a very frightening experience, as a teenager, when she and her parents were staying in a guest house. One night she woke up, and alerted her father. They found her mother on a sill about to open a window. They guided her back to bed. Next morning, when they mentioned this to her, grandma had no recollection of what had happened. It was then they realised that she'd been unaware of the fact she had been Sleep Walking. |

I normally dream of my deceased dad sitting with our family and having a good time. The funniest thing is I could feel and see everything. I am the one doing so many household works, serving my family etc., and all these happens without physically moving out of my bed. I thought that was a just a lucid dreams due to my dad’s presence, but I am not sure. |

Hi Hertz. My mother died last September. And people I know, who've lost loved ones, say it will take time to get used to. I rarely have dreams about my family. And I hardly ever appear in dreams myself. Whenever I have it seems really weird. It's like looking in a distorted mirror. And I don't like it.
I've always had very vivid dreams. And most of them are in colour. Monochrome ones are a good indicator that I'm not well. |
