hi

can anyone tell me what is the best camcorder to have ?
i wanna take it with me on ghost hunts but have read so much about camcorders with poor night light that my head is in a twist.. id prefer one that films in zero light but then picture quality is bad. can any fellow ghost hunters tell me what they think is best or what they use ? id prefer under £500 too.. or whether just to get a sony handycam with illuminator..

thanx

Ye lol, Hi8 Sony handycam with 0lux! + an infrared illuminator! Can't beat it. Plus its recorded to tape format and can be used as a video negative. Hard working and reliable too. I have two..I also use two IR survailance systems too, with B/W Swan cameras and external boom mics. Ace. Running to a VHS tv combi for video recording to VHS tape (again a video negative). You cant mess with a video image.
Just out of interest try introducing a black light, ultaviolet light. You may be impressed!

bad side with these hi 8 are that they can be hard to put onto the computer. however there are some out there which take memory cards, as well as tape. will be alot better to store into the memory then the tapes lol. :D

I have a dongle which allows easy transfer from Hi8. As long as your cpu is good enough it will produce perfect transfer. I love mine.
