This has REALLY freaked me out,
My car is a 1995 Cavalier, 80k on the clock, immaculate and so reliable. But recently Ive been neglecting it and spending more time on my crawler.
Having returned home with more tubing and another set of wheels for the crawler, I left my car outside to give me space to work(although its a large garage, it can be a little cramped), any who, Im working away and put the car back in the garage over night.
Next day, go to leave the house after a barny with the missus and "she" wont start, turns over - nothing.
Checked for flash code, nothing, it just wont fire.
Talked to it, shouted at it, NOTHING! This car has never let me down, never put a foot wrong, always legal and I bo**ock any one who leans on her.
Im thinking it must be a ghost messing with my plugs and points. |

Sometimes, mechanical things just stop working for no obvious reasons. The autofocus on my 'reliable' Nikon camera packed in for two hours then mysteriously started working again.
These things happen.

My apologies to you both, Im being a little bit pedantic.
The amount of people who compare normal every day goings on with the paranormal and are 100% certain that it is paranormal is unbelievable.
My car wont start because of a broken wire and a bit of damp causing the failure of the crank shaft positioning sensor, therefore preventing the coil pack from powering the spark plugs.
Come on people, look at the bigger picture and the wide range of possibilities before being certain that a ghoul has visited. |

No one suggested any supernatural cause for this mechanical failure Carlos

I know, but theres people on a wide range of forums that are certain that an incident is paranormal.
Cant find your house or car keys? must be a ghoul,
Light doesnt work in the kitchen? must be a ghoul,
Tripped on the stairs wearing your new shoes? they must be haunted.
Just thought id join the band wagon for a little while. |

I know. I posted on a forum once that I'd seen my deceased Father. 99% of replies didn't question me and simply jumped to the conclusion that I'd seen his spirit. Oh how they were surprised etc when I eventually revealed that I'd seen him in a photograph given to me by my sister taken many years ago (before he died obviously). Too many people accept claims made at face value and there seems to be a stigma attached (on some forums) to questioning people's claims as though it's wrong or even seen as calling the person a liar.

i know what you mean though, people are too quick to say the slightest little thing that happens is paranormal |

They were relatively OK about it - I didn't get banned. I did it to highlight the lack of questioning on such sites - what's the point in being a member on a site where everyone agrees with each other?.
