Hey guys thought i would introduce myself, I'm Helen and new to all of this.
I have become interested lately in paranormal happings around us and such.
I have been on a few ghost investigations which have been interesting but i'm not 100% a believer as i think my imagination plays a massive part in some of the things thats happen on these events so i'm just here out of interest really. |

Hi Helen, welcome to the forum
You're quite right in saying that imagination (and expectation) plays a very big part in the way people perceive what they experience in allegedly haunted locations.

Cheers guys
I believe there are lots of things in this universe that will never be explained. I am open minded about things at the moment, probably a bit to open minded to the point where i am slightly gulible when people tell me things.
Although i am a firm believer in intuition and i do think sometimes your intuition is there for a reason.
I have felt things and heard things that im not sure what it was, if it was my mind playing tricks or if it was something paranormal.
Guess i will just have to keep trying to figure it out as i go along |

Interesting point there - many times over the years I have felt eerie or like I was being watched or spooky feeling when walking (to my old house outside a village) along a dark country road at night, and become oversensitive - hearing everything and constantly looking behind me etc... and worst of all when I had to walk past the graveyard But funnily I never considered anything paranormal - I just knew it was my mind playing tricks on me.
Although nothing has ever gone 'bump in the night' with me, and I've never seen objects move on their own, heard anything or felt presences etc if that's what you are talking about. |

Yeh is is Cactus
On investigations I have thought I have felt something touch me also felt something push through me and another lady i was stood next to. At the same time my friend said she saw a shadow between me and the other lady. Some other things have happened like hearing breaths when no one else was in that part of the room, hearing footsteps behind me which really scared me as no one was there but I had such a strong feeling there was something there. I do sometimes feel im being watched and constantly see things in the corner of my eye and when i turn my head there is nothing there.
Im forever telling myself not to be silly and there is nothing there and
to be honest I still won't 100% believe in ghosts unless I see one. It doesn't stop my mind running away with itself tho.
So at the moment im just trying to find out as much knowledge and different opinion as i can so i can draw my own conclusions as to whether i believe or not really. |

I actually do believe in ghosts, but I too know the power of the mind and imagination lol - like after watching a really creepy horror film late at night sometimes I am listening for every little creek and noise and on full alert and a couple of days later I'll be back to normal and the little noises and creaks don't bother me again
I agree those instances you described above such as hearing footsteps and seeing figures out of the corner of your eye, 'might' have been spirits, but they will always be inconclusive - so I agree you should continue to search for knowledge on the subject and as you said listen to different points of view. |
