The campus of Amos (Abitibi-Témiscamingue), formerly the Normal School of Assomption has its own ghost story. In the coming days I'll check if the legend is true or false, but for now, I'll just tell you.
Decades ago, a nun had abused a child in this school, and became pregnant. And to avoid having to face justice, she threw herself from a window on the sixth floor. Then, at the place where she fell a tree was planted. It is said that the spirit of religious rôderait in the corridors of the sixth floor.
Moreover, around the tree, a five-pointed star concrete had been placed. According to legend, the star would indicate the passage of a star-shaped tunnel beneath the city of Amos, connecting various buildings (the Cathédral Ste Thérèse of Avila, Assomption school, hospital, the polyvalente la forêt, school St-Viateur). Another version of the legend says that the religious reincarnate when the tree would have each point of the star.
I know that this legend is farfetched but every legend has some truth always. |
