what else could this be....ask a sceptic

ok im going to bare all here (not literally)

im wanting to hear what others alternative opinions are on why things happen to me and whats causing them..

in my short 32 year life...
i have what i/others beleieve to be spirit
(1) show themselfs to me in varying degrees of manifestation
(2)physically touch me
(3)communicate auidily to or through me
(4)put certain conditions upon me
(5)frighten the hell out of me
(6)alter objects in the material world
(7)give me insight through visual flashes of other/previous lives/info not known to me beforehand
(8)make me question my own sanity many times over
(9)makes me pick up emotional states from people/pictures/voices
(10)and lastly,makes me sometimes want to be normal,if their is such a thing.

theres prob more i could include if i think about it too.

so as you can see,i have enough to deal with in regards to spirits if you beleieve this is what is causing this.

so please let me go back to point 8.....yes i have questioned my own sanity many times..

but.....................
i have sought medical advice and..
(1) dont suffer from any form of mental condition
(2) baffled a consultant about sp episodes who couldnt quite admit they truly know sp is natural,but did say he didnt personally believe in ghosts.
(3) epilepsy had to be ruled out too,as certain night episodes resembled a form of epilepsy that only seems to affect a person at night or under extreme tiredness.(which i wasnt aware of)
(4)i am not under the influence of any form of drugs/alcohol/medication.

so please comments welcome on what other options ther are for what is going on..........

It looks so so familar Angelwings.

When did it begin and what is the defining point that makes you think it is all spiritually based. Do they demonstrate an intelligence in anyway, even though the information you receive could well be very accurate. I've been wrestling with this question and others for years.

I've been investigating the paranormal for over 16 years now and over that time have become more and more skeptical in my approach to hauntings, which is tugging me away from answering questions of hauntings with spirits, but the clairvoyant episodes I witnessed are always there in the back of my mind.

Some people are more sensitive to the spirit world than others.. I can sense a presents now and then, the wife has seen spirits in her minds eye... Thats about the extent of what we have.

I have years worth of notes made by my friend about his experiences and they show how they change over time and become more settled and controlled. He has demonstrated pretty much all of what you mention above.

He was desperate to find out what was heppening to him and that is probably what got him interested in researching the paranormal and allowing his ability to be looked at in the field. Psychic ability or not, he was undeniably having strange experiences. On my forum I have put up a post for him where he has tried to categorise his visual experiences but there has been little or no real replies and I have wondered if people with these abilities all see things the same or not. I'd say today he has pretty much found that normal life, except when investigating hauntings when hs spider senses give him the edge on other investigators present. He does get mild headaches in haunted locations, at the specific points where things have been experienced. He has been referred as a human EMF meter at times. This has made me wonder more about possible links between the effects some EMFs have on the brain and whether some people are more susceptible, as some epileptics are.

Although there were a minor episodes in his early life, it really kicked off when his parents split and he lost two grandparents all within a few months. Maybe that emotional turmoil had something to do with kick starting it, who knows.

He wouldn't accept that what he was seeing was spiritual, even though one member of his extended family was a spiritualist medium who was telling him it was so. He decided that accepting that dogma and going along with it (even if it was true) would probably stop him asking the questions that might help lead to the actual scientific mechanics behind it all. Like it or not, the whole world is governed by scientific rules, they just haven't been dscovered yet for certain aspects of the paranormal world.

thanks for that mr. T,i personally think their could be links between "some psychics" and early years Trauma.

im interested on what your thoughts are on this.

I have been speaking to sensitives and clairvoyants now for a while and in many cases there is something in their past or an illness they have causing worry. When my friend came to terms with his parents actions, got a career under his belt he was satisfied with, got in a long term relationship etc it all started to wind down. He wasn't awoken at ungodly hours with voices and apparitions, well, maybe only once or twice a year now. I suppose a confidential anonymous questionnaire of sorts for sensitives/clairvoyants might be interesting to try.

its def possibility with some,i also believe that at times we are too wrapped up in our material lives to take notice of spirit,i believe spirit leave subtle hints all the time,but we are less likely to notice when busy etc..so maybe for some its not a case of trauma or illness can present in apparant "natural phenomenon" but maybe that spirit give us time off too,i know when im ill or rundown im less aware,to me this is spirits way of "cooling off time" as i strongly believe if your not in good health you can be more vulnerable to more negative energies.

Good point. I think that when we meet clairvoyants or psychics or mediums we should discuss the mechanics of how it works with them. Personally I find it more interesting than whether they are giving accurate information or not. Whether the information is right or wrong, if the person is genuine and having some sort of communication we should strive to discover how this is happening, otherwise will we ever answer the big questions.
