Hi everyone
My name is Xena and I live in BC, Canada with my wife and our numerous furkids. I make my living as a martial artist, but I also am heavily involved in the Equestrian community. I have studied paranormal research and all things ghostie most of my life, and finally after so many years managed to land in a house that has some Activity.
I'm looking forward to chatting with you all, and making friends and of course trading stories. Thanks for having me here!

Thank you YB! It's nice of you to welcome me.
I've all ready read quite a bit, and I do like it here a lot. It's small, and personable. You run a great forum. |

Welcome Xena! My Mum is from Hope, B.C.. (Just thought I would share that with you.)
Since your home is 'active' do you or your wife have any experiences to share? |

Thanks for the welcome! I've been through Hope before, it's a nice place.
I have lots of stories, which I'm very happy to share, but I'm just off to bed so they'll have to wait till tomorrow (oh the suspense! LOL).
Here's a tidbit to tide you over...the very first morning we woke up in the house, I found pencil scribble in the bathtub. As if from a very small child. Not a big deal except 1. It wasn't there the night before and 2. we didn't have a pencil anywhere in the house!

Xena, the pencil marks in the bathtub, was it just scribble or letters?
The suspense is killing me!!
You have got to tell us some of your stories! |

I have no human children, so no...it couldn't been one of mine, as our children all have fur.
The writing was scribbling, as the Spirit that resides with us is a small boy of approximately 3 years.
Some other things that happen in our home are the tv in the basement turning on and off all by itself (and somehow always finding the cartoon channel, lol), the dryer door opening and closing (he must be fascinated by the mechanics or some such thing) and the usual occurances of cold spots, doors opening by themselves (no it is not our cats), and my personal favourite while I'm watching tv sometimes the furkids will sort of get restrless, get up and move a bit and then my lap and the left side of my torso will become extremely cold. It's then that I beleive he's sitting in my lap, trying to get hugs.
I've tried numerous times to send him into the light, but he refuses to go. If he's happy with us, he can stay as long as he likes.
Oh, he also loves my toy collection (as you can imagine) and re-arranges the displays often. I'm not sure I've forgotten anything but if I have I'll pop back in and mention it. |

So, at some point in time this child resided there at your home?
Do you know how he passed? |

I don't think he ever lived here, but it's possible. The original owner of this house was a Doctor, who was the only pediatrician in the entire valley. In fact, he was the first doctor this region had. What is now our Library was once his reception room and what is my office was once his examination room.
My personal feeling is that this boy was a patient, who stayed in the home while very ill and possibly passed here. The Doctor was a very kindly man, and often had patients stay in the home, in order to tend to them night and day so it's very possible the boy died here while battling an illness. |

I thought that maybe the child had followed you from your previous home.
Makes more sense that he could have passed from an illness there at the house.
Does the child only present himself to you?
He must sense that you are a compassionate person.

He can be heard and felt by anybody who comes into the house. We can't take any pictures in the house because the orbs are too visible. Especially in the basement, where I have my Kwoon. I just had a grappling clinic here last week, and every single picture is just filled with orbs. I had to choose a couple for publicity purposes and photo edit the orbs out. lol
He likes one of my younger students, another boy, and occasionally pulls on his Kung Fu uniform for attention. |

Most people on this site take pictures hoping for orbs and you have to edit them out!
That is to funny!
Do you suppose there are more than one spirit there in your home? |
