My sister married in 2002. She told me yesterday of an experience her husband had on their honeymoon. They were staying in a small B & B [it only had three guest bedrooms]. The farmhouse [15th or 16th Century, she thought] was near Kirkby Lonsdale.
One night her husband [I shall call him P] was restless, and this annoyed my sister [here C]. She asked him what was wrong.
P: There's a woman in the room.
C: What?
P: There. In the mirror [the dressing table was opposite the end of the bed[. Can't you see her?
My sister thought he was dreaming. Or just playing a joke. And told him to 'go back to sleep'. But he was insistant. C, just to humour him, checked the mirror, and saw nothing unusual.
Next morning he told her fully what he'd seen - 'a red-haired woman in the mirror'. The face had been very clear and staring right at him! He'd been totally 'spooked' by this. As it was the only time he said he'd experience something of this kind. |

That would get my attention.
Had there been any other guests who had witnessed this same "woman in the mirror"? |

I asked my sister what the name of the B & B was, but she couldn't recall it. [Odd since it was her honeymoon.] And when we did an Internet search on B & Bs in or near Kirkby Lonsdale, that didn'tresolve things. I will ask my Brother in Law, and see whether I have more luck... . |

My sister has told me that the B & B was a cottage with low-beamed ceilings and small rooms. The guest accommodation was in an annex. Their room did not have an en-suite bathroom. One likely candidate [click on link to see site] is :-

Reminds me of a place I use to live years back with my X. It was an old train station/hotel. We had an apartment there and one morning the X told me during the night she saw a woman in white period dress from the 1800's plastered flat against a wall. I never saw anything myself but felt that there were spirits about the place. My wife can see them, I cannot :( |

As I reckoned in another posting, it's a 'morphic resonance' thing. So maybe the "old train station/hotel" was 'emitting' a 'resonant frequency' that your ex was atuned to, but you weren't.
In my sister and brother-in-law's case, I wonder whether the same thing would've happened had both been looking at the mirror at the same time. Would my sister have seen the face too?
And I keep thinking about that experience my sister and I had with our local church. Were we both atuned to the frequency of the building? Or was there some kind of 'thought transference'/'telepathy' at work. That one of us 'picked up' the 'signal' and subconciously 'projected' it to the other one. So we both saw the face at the same time?
In both cases, I think, we will never know... . |
