@ Ten301
you seem content to simply sit at your keyboard and criticize them for their efforts.
One last thing. Don't write a check (US for cheque) with your mouth that you can't cash with your arse (US for ass).
That means before you start getting loose with your mouth - do your research - properly.

DB's not bad, you just have to look over some of his faults LOL
That's a joke man, everyone has opinions and we need to respect them all, at least that's my opinion LOL. That's why this forum is a more friendly one. |

I hope ten301 posts again as I'd appreciate his input into what's been said since his or her last post.
I've been involved on forums that deal with the paranormal for many years now and sometimes there are what I call 'transients' who just post in single figures and then no more is heard. Very often they have strong feelings and issues with certain opinions but don't have the time, patience or the intelligence to back up their initial rants and accusations. They come - they go - they're briefly vocal and then go back into the digital ether.
The rest of us - those of us who are genuinely interested in discussion, debate and finding real answers to what we think and what others post - keep on logging into World of Ghosts or whatever ghosts/paranormal forums we're members of.

Normal emf meters may not totally pin point a paranormal claim, like you say because of other equipment ect. Although when you get multiple spikes on different equipment, all at the same time, and you have done this within a controlled environment, this for me definitely must verify something unexplainable. Like you say we don't know what ghosts are made of or how they operate, but the equipment we use is just to confirm something out the ordinary is going on, not give us a detailed explanation...well that's my opinion.
Also what about if you used natural emf readers, they would not pick up any interference from other equipment?? |

you cant judge someone from a couple of posts ten301, if you took the time to get to know our members you would realise that they are very clued up on the paranormal subject(thats very much includeing DB)
infact DB would be one of the first people i would turn to for advice on the subject, as he has pointed out not every thing that goes bump in the night is paranormal |
I would have to agree - DB and I have had many arguments and disagree on many things, but I believe the man is intelligent and I respect his opinion. |

The energy is apparantly conducted through the ions, which are drawn into a small area in order to attempt the manifestation. Yes not prooved..but it would explain why a room goes cold during events, as the temprature in the air needs ions in the air in order to conduct its self.

Why do some people report paranormal activity in rooms with no apparent temperature changes?. I'm thinking of some fairly well documented Poltergeist cases etc.

The OP is a really nice read- I've not seen a thread addressing these issues on the couple of other forums I've seen.
I know I'm new but I'd like to weigh in just the same, and say that many of the 'Denoise' type features on audio software are a bad call when it comes to EVP analysis, since they can happily reduce a basic equipment hum to a bizarre and otherworldly sound scape, due to overzealous application of harsh filter algorithms.
Though I think it's perfectly possible for digital audio recorders to both detect, and convert inaudible frequencies to audible ones, this would happen at a very narrow spectral band, and at perceptually insignificant signal levels. Certainly you wouldn't expect something as complex as voices to emerge from this phenomenon, perhaps a low hum or buzz if you're (un)lucky. |

Hey nice post.
I agree to some what..
Thing people need to remember is there isnt shuch thing as "ghost hunting equipment"
yes people what have made equipment for Ghost Hunters.. Like the K2 meter which was made for Ghost Hunters.. and used the angle ~"ghost hunting equipment"
All equipment we use is for experimental purposes only, to try and collect envioremental changes and measurments which may oneday prove ghosts / spirits
"i doubht it, tho"
i dont think there is no right or wrong way of doing it tbh.. every person and every team may have there own theorys, and methods all different.
With the IR guns, i am intrested in inteligence "asking for the numbers to Jump up and down in like a 5c drop which never happens..", yep your right it measures surface, but some exspensive ones it does Ambient readings which i like more..
thanks for posting DB and thanks for reading. |
