I have had no experiences of seeing ghosts. My Grandma has had 3 though. Here they are.
1. In 1960s when she worked a night shift as a nurse at Wakefield Gereral Hospital (which I think is now Pindafields). She went to get some medicine for her boss (the sister) and she was walking down a corridore when she got a slap on the back. She turned round and noone was there except a hand mark on her back where she got slapped. She had to get the medicine though as it was a job she had been given out. She was then extra careful when she had to walk back down that same corridore.
2. Again at Wakefield Gereral Hospital in 1960s this time when her and another nurse went to check on all the patients in this ward if they were asleep as it was 3:00 in the morning. My Grandma and the other nurse came in the ward and right in front of them was this white smoke. It then shot passed them out of the ward and then down the corridore. My Grandma and the other nurse were in shock when the sister nurse turned up seeing them scared to death. When they told their boss that they had seen the ghost that haunts the hospital she did not believe them. As for the patients they never saw it as they were all fast asleep at 3:00 in the morning.
3. My Grandma also had another ghostly experience when I was a baby in the early 1990s at my Uncle's house where he lived then. My uncle went out with my Grandad and she got left in the house to look after the dog. It was a very quite summers night the there was no wind blowing. Then all of a sudden all black smoke came out of the fire down the chimney. The dog then started growling at it in horrer. It made my grandma terrified. When my Uncle came back home with my Grandad they did not believe her that there was a ghost in my Uncle's house.
My Grandma did tell me that the hospital she did night shifts at was built on an old victorian building and there was a lady that got hanged there. My Grandma knows the name of her but I forgot what they called the ghost now. As for the 1 where my Uncle used to live between 1984 & 1994 I don't know anything about the ghost except that the house is now a bed & breakfast and I have found the website for it which is here. http://www.greenholme.plus.com/
By the way if you know anything about the ghost in Wakefield General Hospital wich I think is now called Pinderfields hospital please reply to this thread. |
