A medium is a person (usually a woman) who can apparently make contact with the dead. Many Mediums operate in a Trance, or semi-trance, during which they are 'controlled' by spirit guides.
There are two main types of medium: Physical and Mental.
Physical Mediums are able to produce verifiable physical phenomena: such as furniture moving, bangs and raps, and outpourings of Ectoplasm which may form into recognizable human shapes.
Mental mediums produce no such phenomena, but filter messages from the dead.

I think this is possible, but I would like to say I hate to see people take advantage of this gift and make money off of it on tv and such. I think it ruins and cheapens these gifts and people begin to loose faith in them

personally i dont have a problem with mediums making money (if they are good at what they do)...what has to remembered is,sometimes this type of work can take up a lot of your time and money,i know many people whom have left jobs etc to be more active in their spiritual involvement.also communications are more on demand now as we are more accepting of this subject.mediumship skills are "gained" not given as "gifts",lots of hard work and many many years of experience and sometimes training.

if i had trained to plaster walls for two years,and i was good at it,i certainly wouldnt plaster ppls walls for free..its exactly the same but ppl tend to forget that because of the nature of what were dealing with here,why take from the bereaved ?..bereaved or not there is a demand and ppl will pay,its as simple as that.
