                                | Orbs for examples can be explained simply as being dust or moisture on the lens. We photographers deal with orbs daily by carrying a lens cloth. 
 And then there's 'ghosting' and flare which can produce a whole array of weird looking things which many people immediately assume to be supernatural. Other sources of confusion include anything from insects to natural phenomena which can't be seen with the naked eye but which are there and are perfectly easy to explain.
 
 And lets not forget photoshop. You can literally turn a photo in to whatever you want if you have the time. Even the EXIF can be edited which effectively erases the footsteps of your edit.
