Hey Guys!! Im back!!! idk if some of you guys will remember me (mainly flossy, yb and bitter) but i was around on these forums for a while and then i got busy so i havent had time to come on and check and post, but im not busy anymore :D
So my last post was on a spirit that has been in my house for a while, doing strange things and making noises. Well i think ive found out who it is. Me and my mum contacted this spirit and she got a weird message "look behind you and you will know who i am". I should explain this a bit deeper. We are 99% sure that the spirit is my mum's Grandad (my grandads dad). He died when my grandad was 3 so my grandad never really knew him. But one thing he told my mum was that he remembered his dad leaning against the doorway. Now in my old house we had a lamp with a man leaning against a post (the lamp was behind my mum) and my mum and my aunty were contacting spirits and she got the same message but she didnt know what it meant. When she got the message again she had a think about it and she relaised that it connected with the story my grandad told her.Plus she got the same name of my grandads dad. So weve figured that one out :).
Now i have another strange little thing. I now have a 1 year old nephew and he comes and stays on weekends and obviously we use baby monitors to listen. Now one night me and my mum were downstairs and we heard a bang...through the baby monitor. So my mum listened in and she could hear creaking and knocking through it (there was noone upstairs). The she heard scratching (my nephew couldnt of done this because his arms arent long enough to reach the side of the cot bless him). Also everytime we hear the creaking (we think its footsteps), my nephew cries or moans a little bit. Im not sure if it is actually the same spirit (my grandads dad) or a different spirit. has anyone else experienced anything like this before? |

hi adam, nice to see you back
baby moniters are very good at picking sounds up, the creaking could just be the floor boards settling and disturbing your nephew, some babys are very light sleepers |

thanks flossy :)
And that is true, but im not so sure. It could be that but im thinking more along the lines of the bangs and the scratching noises. Plus i forgot to mention one thing that ive just remembered now. After the first time this occured my mum went upstairs and there is a picture of my grandma and grandad on her bedside drawers. Previous to this happening this picture had been upright. After it had happened the picture had been placed faced down on her drawers. (Its in a picture frame so it couldnt of fallen over). |

adam that was a good story about your grandad
I would say set up a camera on the babys cot when he is there and record all night - it would be interesting to see if anything moves of its own accord or you see a figure or even hear a voice |

that picture story is interesting - it could be that he has not seen his wife in a long long time and is upset by seeing the picture |

Oh no no the spirit i was talking about is my gradads dad not my grandad :) But is is still interesting as to why the picture was placed face down. Unless is IS my grandads dad and he is upset of seeing my grandad in the picture? |

so it is the spirits son in the picture? yes maybe he is sad as he hasnt seen him in a long time - your great grandad could be stuck in that place for a long time and somehow cant move on |

yes it was a picture of my grandad and my grandma. And yes that could actually be whats happened here. You see i dont much about my great grandads death, as i said my grandad was only 3 when it happened so i dont know how he died. Maybe if i found out how he died i could get some idea of why he is still around. |

well after all this time it is definately not that he doesnt know he is dead He could simply be there to watch over his family - time probably doesn't have the same meaning after we die
I am not religious either but this could be what purgatory is |

ahh i never thought of this. Maybe because he didnt know my grandad well either he wanted to see what kind of man he would grow into and to make sure nothing bad happened to him because he couldnt actually be there in person to make sure. i think im getting somewhere with this now. What i might have to do is actually get into contact with my great grandad and ask him why he's here. |

Like I said I wouldnt use a ouiji but I would ask out loud questions, like 'can you do something to show you are here' make a noise etc...
I really dont know if some mediums are real or not (I am sure some aren't) but that might be a possible route?
lol you could do it and he might not be there that day (possibly he is now following your nephew watching over him) |

All valid points cactus :)
The best thing to do would just be to try and if nothing happens wait another time and try again. I just want to know what he's actually doing here. I mean he's no threat or harm..a little bit cheeky and mischevious but he hasnt done anything to show that he's a threat in any way so i think its safe to contact him and ask him some questions. |

No from what you have described I too would say he (if it definately is him) poses no threat.
I would definately set up the camera on the cot though - it could be interesting.
How did you and your mum contact the spirit? |

Yes i deffinetly will set up a camera. Unfortunatley i dont have one at the moment but im sure i can ask my mum if i could borrow hers especially seen as she believes too.
Well basically what we did was sit down and had everything off even the lights. We lit a candle and sat down and reached out and it took a while but we got quite a few names back (for the life of me i cant remember what names). But one of the names we got was George which is the name of my great grandad. And then my mum got the message i said about in the first post and that was how we knew it was my great grandad. |
