Personally I would rather discuse these matters with someone who doesn't try to explane it all away and has a little more carector. I filmed that as an interesting object and thats all. |
Thats what I was like with DB a while ago, but I got used to him. I think DB can be useful 9/10 times, which isnt bad Hes very methodical in his analysis, but also very inhuman (robotic) too (example: gives very little credit to peoples instinct/highly credible witnesses testimony/he has an exaggerated belief that human memory is faulty) But I now believe there is so much rubbish out there that a tool (not an insult) like DB can be helpful. |

Thanks Cactus, that's a pretty fair and accurate viewpoint.

No worries Agentscott. We all have our off moments n stuff where we post comments that may reflect our feelings a little too accurately in the heat of the moment.
We need sceptics on forums like this as much as we need believers because somewhere in the middle lies the truth.

That's what I believe. |

I think I mentioned on here before that I am in the application process for the Scottish Prison Service to be an Officer. It must be the slowest application process in the world - 7 months so far I was hoping to be giving prisoners kickings and taking abuse and opening and locking cages for 20k a year by now. |

I suppose if theres no other opinions then theres no debate forums.
Aliens are still real in my book though and i'm still out to prove it.
If we all accepted aliens I bet they would have been down by now. |

Agentscott, it is still better to stay on the sceptical side; although you know a lot more about this subject and have had more and better sightings than me, so I understand why you are convinced. I believe there is a very real possibility that ETs have visited us, but I am not 100% sure, and if they have I do not believe it is on the level that most believers think. |

I've remembered I once saw something else - but have no idea what it was - it was about Autumn 2009 - I was working at the same place as my Mums partner, I finished at 5.30 and he finished at 6 - so I had to wait for half an hour - I was sitting in the car and I saw something in the distance - it was sunset around September/October - straight in front of me about 1 - 2 miles away something went straight upwards at a constant rate (not overly fast but fast enough) into the sky - this wasnt an aircraft/bird/firework/lantern, and I don't think it was a balloon - so I dont know what it was.
I told my Mums partner and he just gave me a funny look so I said no more and never told anyone else, and actually just forgot about it. It wasn't really anything spectacular; it just went straight up. I have no idea what it was. |

Curious, Cactus. Yesterday evening [about 18:30/18:45 I saw a bright white light in the sky. The sun was on it, making the object the most noticeable thing. Visibility was excellent - clear sky, no clouds. So I used my binoculars. It seemed much too low to be a plane. There were vapour trails in the sky. Though this object didn't seem to produce one.
But, regarding UFOs, I'm undecided. I mean sometimes the ISS is the brightest thing in the sky. The Moon can look odd too, esp during the day. And DB is right, ''bright planets'' [eg Venus] can be mistaken for other things. |

Hi Henut, the object I saw definately wasn't in space; the ISS, moon, star or planet. A plane had just flew overhead and this object was only half as high. But I'm not saying it was aliens lol. |

I think what I saw was a plane. It seemed to be cylindrical. If there were wings, the bright sunlight obscured them. Although I feel that the existence of UFOS is debatable, at times, my son does make wish 'alien abductions' just might happen... . |

Was the object moving or just staying in the one place; was it going in a straight line etc? |

All possibilities must be checked out but when we can't find an explanation and they show us inteligenly controled maneuvers that is enough for me that something or someone somewhere is flying the thing.
Interesting light sighting there but only good enough for a was it real discusion.
When my orange UFO was low glowed and had structure and then droped itself out of my sight then that was clearly a crart, human or alien or ghost even but it certenly wasn't a tornado.
It's always a good idea to be skeptical but not so much that we convince ourselves that as a rule there is nothing, then your brain really has fallen out and the veil is droped and the answers will be locked away for good. |

It was moving away from me in a roughly NW direction. And not very quickly. Through the binoculars the shape looked cylindrical, and I saw it side(?) on. It didn't appear to turn, but travelled to the horizon as though it was 'edging away'.
I would say the distance from me was about a quarter or half a mile. Had it been visible today, I would say it was about level with the lowest cloud base. Or slightly above it. I'm not very good at judging altitudes.
It was my son that noticed it first, and drew my attention. As he's quite an inquisitive and excitable kid, I thought he was joking at first. But his persistence led me to the window, if anything just to humour him! |
