ALEX LOCKWOOD, what was the point of telling that? 
When my aunt died, I was given her bed because I needed a new one anyway; I slept in it for years and nothing ever happened with it. I have also slept in rooms were people died (of old age) and nothing happened.
But normally I would only mention things like this if something did happen |

| Yeah but nobody said they were It was just that this room has never been opened since the womans death and the dog acts unusual around it. |

No I think you were right - he was just saying that dead peoples rooms and beds aren't haunted - but I was just saying that is obvious

I told the tale because, it didn't....
Thank you, Flossy. That's exactly what I was trying to say! Thinking about it, quite a few of my family have passed away in bed. Either at home or in hospital. Mum included. And, I suspect, very few [if any] 'stuck around' to haunt those places. In fact it was Mum's passing that convinced me that the 'spirit' leaves the body at death. And 'moves on'.  |

Why did your Mums passing convince you that the spirit leaves the body at death and moves on?
(I believe in the soul too and I believe it leaves the body at death too, but where it goes I don't know, but I do believe some stick around for a certain amount of time) |

That's comforting to know, Cactus. Thank you I don't care what the sceptics and cynics of this world (take note DB) think. I stand by what I believe.
It was the first time I'd ever seen someone die in front of me before. But I have seen people who were dying. That it was my Mum made it all the more difficult for my sister and I, not to mention my Dad. My parents had been married for most of their adult lives.
There had been several 'life changing' moments in my life before that. The ones that most affected me - and caused me to question my beliefs were:
 The death of my last grandparent in December 1994. I had dreams after that the like of which I'd never experienced before. They raised the possibility of Past Lives. Since then I'm sure I've had more dreams of the P L type. And had two Past Life Regressions earlier this year which proved very interesting.
An NDE during my near-fatal car accident in July 2002. It caused me to re-evaluate my life. That is when I became aware that there was something beyond this life and world. And that angels might just exist.
Before I went into hospital in 2006. When I 'met' my Guardian Angel for the first time.
But it was my mother's passing that was the most 'enlightening'. I'm sure she 'saw' what I did. Because I 'sensed' there was a really strong 'connection' between us. My G A 'appeared' again, and mother's as well. Mum's showed that Death wasn't all-powerful.
The Big D was also present. At the point of death he brought his sword (not scythe) down. As Mum's soul rose from her body, her G A took the spirit by the hand. 'He' led her up a path, and through a door in a wall into a sun-lit flower-filled meadow. The Big D stood back to let them pass, lowered the sword, and bowed. (BTW, he wasn't a skeleton, but an angel with dark robes, and a very pale face, hair and eyes.) |
