Hello folks, my name is 'Jimbo' - you have an excellent forum here
I have a great interest in the paranormal and try to keep a 'balanced' view
I DON'T just accept what people claim, or try to read in things too much, make any 'occurance' fit into or as a 'paranormal' experience etc....no gullible believer am I
nor do I 'blanket dismiss'...and above all ASSUME...the hardened sceptics biggest weakness, as they are every bit as 'close minded' as any gullible believer might be, simply 'Assuming' their viewpoint is correct with nothing other than mere 'assumption' as the basis if their belief system...
a balance logical view is needed, we don't know it all...and we can't be certain something is paranormal when a perfectly normal explanation may apply...so I try to keep that balanced attitude if possible
I think things such a 'Ghosts', UFO's etc do seem to be a continuing part of Human experience, and if just ONE incident is what it appears to be, then it redefines our thinking
we DO know from our early space exploration steps that the apparently 'known' physical universe is anything but 'known' and what we keep learning as we explore it...is there is always MORE to learn
if that is the case re the physical universe (and, besides outer space, our knowledge of marine life on our own ONE planet Earth is anything but total either is it?) ...then we can only speculate that any 'paranormal' or 'psychic' universe, possibly existing in another dimension entirely to our physical universe, is possibly far far more complex and possibly just too complex for our minds to understand, and perceive...maybe ever
just consider, could, say a caveman have understood nuclear physics ?, at the time of his existance it's unlikely, but over time humans COULD bridge that gap - we may never be able to make such a jump to understanding or even defining any paranormal psychic universe...but we DO have the ability to at least increase our knowledge over time and obtain a greater understanding of the nature of creation on various levels...as we do find there is always 'more to learn' in all fields, and that we never do 'know it all'...do we ?
hopefully we can increase our knowledge of the paranormal over time, or at least keep probing and asking questions, rather than just 'burying our heads in the sand of instant blanket dismissal scepticism' or equally 'just gullibly believing anything offhand'... |

Hello Jim, very wise to believe they exist but not quite take the title. As far as I know most believers have this stance. |
