Just a quick note to wish everyone well by way of introduction. I have been mulling over the possibility of sharing two exceptionally unpleasant experiences (endured by my better half) for some time now. Perhaps in two separate posts, as they are both fairly detailed. For my own part, I entertain the notion of being an old-fashioned Sceptic in the original Greek philosophical sense. Neither believing nor disbelieving, since these mindsets both paralyse the mind and form habits akin to being on auto-pilot. Questions can be illuminating. I genuinely enjoy learning more and more about a multitude of subjects, and fervently hope that the good people of this forum might be kind enough to assist me in my latest endeavour. To be quite frank, my other half is still affected by the events of some 40 years ago, and I dearly wish to be able to help in some way. Hence, I suspect I shall post in the relevant section presently. Best wishes to all. ...
