I have always been interested in the paranormal. But until recently nothing had ever happened directly to me. On March 21, 2010 my grandfather passed away. We shared a special bond and our birthdays were both on February 2. He died in his home under hospice. My family and I moved in to the same home shortly after his death to care for my grandmother. About 7 months after his passing, I had come down with a horrible case of the flu. I was laying in my room with my door closed (my door is warped and has to be closed and opened with a lot of force). As I was laying there, my door opened. At first I thought it was my little sister and told her to close the door. There was no response, so I got up and closed it myself. A few minutes later the same thing happened. Once again I went and closed it and yelled for my sister to stop. When it happened again, I finally went looking for her. When I found her she was downstairs with my family watching a movie. When I told her to quit messing with me, my parents told me she was down there the whole time with them. The only other person that wasnt in the room watching the movie was my grandmother who is 80 and cannot walk without her walker. When I found this out my mother simply looked at me and told me it was "papa checking up on me". Even though this should have been comforting, I wouldn't sleep in my room for a week.
Then, on my eighteenth birthday (which would have been my grandfather's 87th) I was in my car with a close friend on the way to dinner. As I was driving, a car ran a red light and cut in front of me. I was going around 45 MPH and panicked. I took my hands off of the wheel and closed my eyes. When I opened them, we were in front of the car that cut us off and safe. Me and my friend both looked at eachother and when I looked over, I swear I saw my grandfather's reflection in the window. I immediately started crying and had to pull over to calm myself down. When I told my friend, she said she had watched the wheel turn on its own after I took my hands off of it. She also said she had an overwhelming feeling of calmness when it happened. She told me that it must have been my grandfather's birthday present to me (seeing as the last birthday present from him was the car we were in at the time). I guess what I am getting at is has anyone had a loved one pass and they feel as if they are acting as their "Guardian Angel"? Please reply if so, I just want to know I am not making things up and connecting two different occurances. |

Hello Wick and welcome to the forum.
My condolences for the loss of your grandfather.
Wow!
What an experience, I'm glad you and your friend were
not injured in this close call.
I'm not sure if it was your grandfather or a guardian
angel but someone was looking after you!
Has your grandmother had any experiences with this?

She woke up in the middle of the night a few times saying that she saw my grandfather standing and smiling at her. She is now living in the room that he passed away in also. It may connect that way... Also, she says she has conversations with him. |
