Can ghosts understand different languages?

A few days ago i was watching Ghost Hunters International, an American tv show that travels the world searching for ghosts. In the Episode they travelled to Italy where they claimed to make contact with a few spirits. They were talking to the ghosts in English and the ghosts were responding with knocks and bangs, but surely the spirits would most likely only understand Italian. They also did a show in Argentina in which they spoke English and the spirits understood. I know the show can be fake but i was just wondering if spirits can understand any language?

When we speak, we're transforming an emotion into a physical entity (agitated molecules, aka sound waves). Now, I'd say a ghost can't physically speak as it has no physical vocal organs, so in my opinion any communication with a ghost is purely in the form of emotion. Our brains, being English speaking, will pick up this emotion, and translate it into a form we can understand.

That's my take on it anyway.

I often wondered the same thing when watching GHI, they sometimes learn a few frases, but that wouldn't even help them out even at the hotel they were staying at never mind communicating with the dead lol

If they(GHI) are in Italy, talking English and they are getting some response, who's to say that the ghosts arent English?

I have often wondered this when watching GHI but they do seem to get results. Maybe just the ghost saying "Eh?? what??" i dont know.

Sound is simply vibrations in energy so im sure this can be decipherd quite easily by most entities, however in my experience a lot of communication is done in the mind, kind of like telepathy xxx
