Those were great Spectra!!
At times is looked as if Yvette was about to
bust a nut with laughter!
I checked out a few more of the clips of Derek. The clip where Derek keeps saying
he shat himself is a pretty funny one as well.
Thanks for the laughs Spectra! |

Here is one more great performance i should have included yesterday all about the character "Godfrey Parks". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNzylrEuY_s
Derek is a great showman and after his time with the series finished he went on to make a nice tidy sum selling out solo shows with his act.
As i understand the series provided him with a nice pay packet to the tune of 20 thousand pounds per episode so quite lucrative! |

Dirk's a good actor Flossy you're quite right and he's an excellent entertainer who can read an audience to his advantage. What he's not is a man with psychic powers who can receive messages from the dead.
I like Dirk, he's a nice con man

Anyone claiming to be able to pass messages on from the dead has a certain entertainment value as long as the audience has a laugh and doesn't take the comments about Auntie Flo's budgie needing it's mouth washing out with soap too seriously.
There is a very real and potentially harmful aspect to any mediums performance and that is giving false hope and pedalling outright lies to those members who want comfort and closure.

That is a matter of opinion basically though. But however certainly in Derek's case it is a great money spinner! I just got Yvette Fieldings Dvd "Ghosts of great Britain vol.1" by the way from Ebay. About 30 odd mins in runtime and not a sight nor hair of dear Derek. |

He's probably not in it. I think his broadband connection was down when she churned out 'Ghosts of Britain' so he couldn't contact Sam Google.

None of course it just has Yvette walking around some places giving stories and a couple of accounts from 2 others, i think from her most haunted team. |

I suppose you're just dying to buy the second volume that would easily have fitted onto the same disc. Maybe they should have called it 'Gullibles of Great Britain'.
Yvette may not be a medium but she saw you coming. |
