My strange moment

Hi. This is a real story that I encounterd a few years ago.
It happened one evening a couple of weeks before Christmas. My hubby and daughter were both at work and I was at home wrapping some presents My hubby was a coach driver and would often pop in for a cup of tea if he had dropped off near home. So when I heard the jangle of keys and the front door open I called out "Want a cuppa?" There was no reply so I again called out and went to greet him. I got to the living room doorway but he was not there. I looked round the corner into the hall and was a bit shocked to see no one there. This was not a case of me hearing things as my dog looked towards the doorway as she always did when someone came home. I still cannot explain what happened and have never had it happen before or since.
The sound of the front door opening and the jangle of the keys were so real. I didn't feel scared but was happy when hubby did come home.

i think in that situation, i'd be happy if anyone came home, i'd even accept strangers!!!
